How is it made?

I work primarily with old growth redwood to create my sculptures, tables, and other works of art. Let me show you the steps in my process, from raw wood to finished piece.

I begin with research and paper sketches, then sketch the outline of my design directly onto wood.

Next, I cut out the outline of the shape. Although there is much work left to go, this step is important to provide the organic flowing shapes of the finished piece.

The piece is contoured, shaped, and sanded smooth.

Finally, each piece is finished and sealed. This step gives the wood a beautiful luster and brings out the striking natural beauty of old growth redwood grain.

Make your vision a reality.

Now that you know more about my process, I hope we can create something together. Ready to co-create something beautiful? Please get in touch!
